Shield Sacrifice Damage Negation
Overview
A shield becomes an expendable life-buffer. The player trades long-term defense for immediate survival.
Procedure

- Before damage is rolled, defender may sacrifice shield.
- The strike is fully negated.
- Shield is destroyed or rendered unusable.
Boundaries
- Default scope is conventional physical hits.
- Magical or exotic attacks require specific shield exception rules.
Why It Works
- Preserves lethality while adding meaningful emergency agency.
