No Mandatory Dungeon Rest Cadence
Overview
This rule drops the automatic rest tax and lets pace be driven by fictional pressures, logistics, and player risk tolerance.
Procedure
- Do not enforce fixed rest every fifth dungeon turn.
- Track fatigue and setbacks through fiction, burden, attrition, and referee calls.
- Allow parties to press deeper at rising risk.
Effects
- Faster delving cadence.
- More agency in push-your-luck decisions.
- Higher chance of overextension if parties ignore warning signs.
